Job Description
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive primary and preventive care to patients of all ages.
Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.
Participate in community outreach programs to promote health awareness.
Qualifications:
Current and valid New York State Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification in Family Health.
Licensed and registered as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in New York State.
Graduate of a nurse practitioner education program acceptable to the New York State Education
Department (NYSED) or certified as a nurse practitioner by a national certifying organization acceptable
to NYSED.
Completion of pharmacology coursework acceptable to NYSED.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an NP in a primary care or family practice setting preferred.
Bilingual skills in Bengali or Spanish are highly preferred.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
